Cafes I've visited since FREEDOM

It's no secret that I have frequented a large number of cafes since we have entered into level two! I figured that since I had been deprived of my cafe visits for so long that I needed to make up for lost time. Here are the places that I've been!
HEMI EATERY
Auckland Central
A relatively new opening, with a fully customisable menu that is insanely good value for money. It's brunch menu is pretty healthy (but not in a gross raw vegan date slice kinda way), and the ability to easily build your own breakie is a blessing. Would 10/10 recommend the waffles especially, they were absolutely amazing. This is my FAVOURITE spot for brunch in Auckland right now!!!!
ODETTES EATERY
Auckland Central
Odette's has been on my list of places to visit for a long time. While I've been here for dinner in the past I'd never tried their infamous brunch menu. While the coffee was superior, and the fit out is beautiful the food didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was yum, but not mouth watering. We all left satisfied but there wasn't a stand out dish amongst my family. I feel like it's definitely a great place to go if you are a fan of eggs, but if you're like me and don't vibe with an eggy brunch then it probably isn't the place for you.
LOLA
Mount Wellington
Lola is somewhere I tend to go quite often. It's close enough to home and has a wide offering that means there is something for everyone. It's also super spacious and never packed to the brim, so is perfect to visit at level two. While their menu is great I personally love their cabinet food. Their pides and sandwiches are huge, big enough to share between two, and packed full of flavour! There are always so many options that make it easy for everyone to find something they like. And also their sweet slices are delicious. Bonus points for the homemade marshmallows that come with their coffees.
AMPERSAND
Orakei
Ampersand has a beautiful interior, lovely staff and is a great place for a great, strong coffee and catch up. Also their baked goods were super yummy, the perfect mix of moist (sorry gross word I know) and crunchy. In the past I've ordered off their menu but wasn't super impressed. Would recommend the bacon and cheese scone in particular and would suggest choosing cabinet food options opposed to the menu options which tend to be overpriced for small portions.
MELBA
Manukau
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Melba chicken salad is BOMB. The staff are always lovely, there are so many great menu options, with something for everyone! The cafe is large and roomy, and it's a great place to have a catch up with a friend. The coffee is also super good and while the menu items are a little pricier their cabinet food is also good!
Let me know which Auckland cafes you visited first, and what your faves are!
